The Council for Hydrogen Energy Implementation (CHEI) is a 501 (c) 6 non profit trade association representing a diverse membership of industry, academic, and government leaders whose aim is to facilitate implementation of hydrogen energy facilities, products and services as part ofthe nation's energy mix. The CHEI exists to promote the business interests of its members, facilitate joint efforts and to advocate for state, regional and federal legislative activities that remove or mitigate barriers to the commercialization of hydrogen energy.
Starting in January 2014 a commercial hydrogen fueling station is scheduled open in proximity to the Toronto Airport. Pure hydrogen fuel compressed to 5000 psi will be available to any customer with a credit card at a 24/7 publicly accessible pump. Arrangements with users are being scheduled now for up to 65 kilograms per day and reservations will be honored up to one year in advance.
